Poland has imposed restrictions on flights in the eastern regions of the country near the borders with Belarus and Ukraine. The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency announced this on its website on June 4.

"From 06/10/2026 from 00:00 UTC to 09/09/2026 to 23:59 UTC, air traffic restrictions will be introduced in the eastern part of the Polish region in the form of a restricted zone," the publication says.

It is noted that at night there will be a complete ban on flights in the zone, with the exception of military aviation and certain coordinated flights. Restrictions will also remain in place during the day, but exceptions will be provided for a number of categories of aircraft, including state aviation, sanitary flights and some drones.

The agency said that the decision was made at the request of the operational command of the armed forces and is related to the need to ensure the security of the state.

On June 2, the operational command of the Polish armed Forces reported that fighter jets had been lifted into the sky in Poland against the background of alleged Russian aviation activity over the territory of Ukraine. The measures were aimed at ensuring the safety and protection of the airspace. Later, the ministry announced the completion of military aviation operations.
