Ukraine uses methods of information influence similar to those previously used by the terrorist group Islamic State (IS, banned in the Russian Federation). This was announced on June 3 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"The Kiev regime uses, by the way, what we have seen with the example of ISIS, information extremely aggressively," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Zakharova, such campaigns are based on manipulation of information and distortion of meanings.

She also added in the Izvestia studio at the SPIEF on June 3 that Western politicians and the media deliberately hush up the inhumane actions of the Kiev regime. According to her, Russia's task is to "sound the alarm" about Kiev's crimes, and all authorized Russian agencies are doing this.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a security meeting on April 28 that the Ukrainian authorities were losing territories at the front every day, so they were betting on terrorist attacks against the Russian civilian population. He also noted the ongoing work of the structures of international terrorism, radical and extremist groups.
