Farewell to the writer Zoya Boguslavskaya took place in Moscow.

Zoya Boguslavskaya, a writer and widow of poet Andrei Voznesensky, said goodbye in Moscow. Footage from the farewell ceremony on June 2 is published by Izvestia.

The funeral event was held in the Voznesensky Center. Dozens of people came to say goodbye to her, including friends, colleagues and fans of the writer's work. Boguslavskaya's funeral will be held at the Novodevichy Cemetery.

Historian Igor Volgin shared his memories of the Russian poet's wife with Izvestia.

"Andrey was very lucky as a poet and as a person that she was his wife. <...> Moreover, she was not just a wife — she was also a writer. God grant, of course, that we all remember her while we are alive," he said.

Among those present at the ceremony were State Duma deputy and two-time Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov, artistic director of the Lenkom Mark Zakharov Theater Mark Varshaver, director Vladimir Pankov and journalist Yuri Rost.

Zoya Boguslavskaya's death became known on May 14. The Voznesensky Center noted that she was their ideological inspiration, the head of the Andrei Voznesensky Foundation, a legendary and outstanding woman.

Boguslavskaya was known as a writer, as well as a theater and literary critic. She was an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts, an Honored Cultural Worker, and a recipient of the Order of Merit for Culture and Art (2024).
