The Russian government has imposed a temporary ban on the export of jet fuel from the country, including aviation kerosene purchased at stock auctions. The resolution was published on June 1 on the website.

"The restriction will be in effect until November 30, 2026 inclusive," the statement said.

At the same time, fuel reserves on board aircraft, previously issued export shipments, as well as supplies under intergovernmental agreements have been removed from restrictions. It is specified that the decision was made to maintain a stable situation in the domestic fuel market and ensure uninterrupted supply to consumers.

The head of the Ministry of Transport, Andrey Nikitin, explained that there is currently no shortage of jet fuel in Russia. According to him, when making decisions, the authorities primarily proceed from the need to ensure the interests of Russian airlines, TASS reports.

On April 2, the Russian government extended a temporary ban on gasoline exports to producers of petroleum products until July 31. The decision was explained by the need to maintain stability in the domestic market during a period of high seasonal demand and field work.

The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation noted that the Russian fuel industry is fully prepared for the seasonal increase in energy demand. The head of the department, Sergey Tsivilev, added that there is no need to introduce additional restrictions on the export of diesel fuel from Russia.
