- The media learned about Iran's consent to international control over its nuclear facilities
Representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran have agreed to international control, which is planned to be carried out over its nuclear facilities. This was reported on May 29 by Al Arabiya TV channel, citing sources.
"Iran has agreed to international supervision of its nuclear facilities," a message on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
This decision, as the interlocutors of the TV channel clarified, was allegedly made by Tehran in order to avoid dismantling the nuclear program.
The Axios portal learned the day before that the Iranian and American sides allegedly reached an agreement on a Memorandum of Understanding. It was noted that the potential document is now awaiting final approval from the head of the White House, Donald Trump.
On May 27, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy of the Majlis of the Islamic Republic, described the content of the future Iranian-American project.
The text, he said, includes clauses on a 60-day truce not only in Iran, but also in Lebanon, as well as on ending the naval blockade. The politician stressed that at the same time, representatives of the diplomatic apparatus of his state do not intend to make decisions based on Trump's emotional publications.
