Three people were injured in an attack by a man at the train station in Winterthur, northern Switzerland. This was reported on May 28 by the newspaper Tages-Anzeiger, citing a representative of the police of the canton of Zurich.

"A man attacked and wounded several people with a bladed weapon at the Winterthur railway station," the publication says.

According to law enforcement agencies, the incident occurred around 08:30 local time (09:30 Moscow time). One of the three victims was seriously injured. The attacker has already been detained by the police, he turned out to be a 31-year-old Swiss citizen. The ministry added that the motives for the crime remain unclear at the moment.

Eyewitnesses of the incident reported that the man was running through the underpass of the station and attacking people. According to witnesses, the attacker shouted Muslim religious slogans.

The German newspaper Bild reported on April 1 that several people were injured in an alleged knife attack in the western German city of Solingen. According to the newspaper, an ambulance and an intensive care unit were at the scene. At the same time, one suspect was detained.
