Rosaviatsia has granted Air Anka additional charter permits until May 25.
Rosaviation, in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, issued additional temporary permits for charter flights of the Turkish airline Air Anka until May 25 inclusive. This was announced on May 27 by the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
"The decision to issue additional temporary permits was made in the interests of tourists, despite the summer flight schedule between our countries previously agreed with the Turkish aviation authorities," Maks said in a statement.
It is noted that after May 25, the carrier has no permits for flights to Russia, but it has sold the carrying capacity to the tour operator Anex Tour by the end of October. Applications for new flights are not satisfied in agreement with the Turkish aviation authorities. There is no shortage of carrying capacity — Russian airlines offered their own boards.
Anex Tour said that tourists at the resorts will be extended their stay at the expense of the tour operator, and customers in Russia will be offered a postponement of dates or a refund. They work with all applications on a point-by-point basis, choosing the most profitable option.
On the same day, a source from Izvestia close to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation reported that Air Anka was forced to cancel flights to and from Russia, as the carrier was denied permission to fly. The source said that the company "started selling flights without coordination with the Russian aviation authorities." The conditions of a possible return to the airline were not reported.
Later, the press service of the Anex travel agency noted that the refusal to grant permission for flights to Russia to the Turkish charter company Air Anka was due to "operational necessity." Anex added that for people who are still in Russia but have already bought tickets for the Air Anka flight, it is possible to reschedule the flight dates or make a refund.
