- The United States denied a visa to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alimov to participate in the UN Security Council debate
The United States has not issued a visa to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov to attend a meeting of the UN Security Council. This was announced on May 26 by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the world Organization Vasily Nebenzya.
"Despite all our attempts to get the American side to issue him a visa, it was never issued to him," he said, the recording is available on the website of the UN Security Council.
According to him, the refusal of the visa by the United States is a violation of Washington's international obligations and a blatant disrespect for China's presidency of the UN Security Council.
Earlier in the day, Nebenzia said that the level of disregard by Western states for the UN Charter had reached its peak. According to him, in an effort to maintain their dominant positions in the world, Western elites have lost all restraint in using brute force methods.
