Medvedev called the long summer holidays an important tradition for Russia
Long summer school holidays are a tradition for Russia and there is no need to give them up. This was announced on May 25 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
"Long summer holidays in our country are a tradition that should not be abandoned. Do you remember the famous school phrase "The bell is for the teacher"? Vacations are vital for teachers to recuperate and prepare for new quarters or trimesters at the blackboard," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
