HC Ak Bars thanked the fans for their support in the Gagarin Cup

Kazan hockey club (HC) Ak Bars thanked the fans after the defeat in the final series of the Gagarin Cup. The corresponding statement was published in the team's press service on May 21.

The club noted that the fans supported the team throughout the journey, rejoiced at the victories and suffered defeats.

"We will definitely come back stronger and embark on this journey together again. Thank you, best fans," the club's Telegram channel says.

The sixth match of the final series was held in Kazan. Ak Bars, which had previously won the trophy three times, suffered its third defeat in the final of the tournament in its history, informs Sport-Express.

HC Lokomotiv won the Gagarin Cup, winning the trophy for the second time in its history, beating Ak Bars Kazan on home ice.

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Lokomotiv players on their victory in the KHL playoffs. He also noted the fans of the club, who sincerely supported the team during the season.
