Two-time Olympic champion Evgeny Plushenko and his 13-year-old son, figure skater Alexander Plushenko, have made their Instagram accounts (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) closed. Their pages there attest to this on May 22.

"This is a closed profile. Subscribe to this profile to watch his photos and videos," it says on the electronic wall.

Now only their approved subscribers can view their posts and personal information in their profiles. For other users, the content posted by the athletes has become unavailable.

The day before, Alexander Plushenko received sports citizenship of Azerbaijan for five years. The young man was not a member of the Russian national team this season and trained at his father's private academy. The child, commenting on this situation, stated that "he was and remains a Russian" and expressed the hope that he would be able to adequately represent both Moscow and Baku in the international arena.
