"The Russian-Chinese trade turnover continues to grow, having long exceeded the $200 billion mark," he said in a video message ahead of his visit to China.

According to the President of the Russian Federation, mutual settlements between Russia and China are almost entirely conducted in rubles and yuan. Putin also noted that the countries are implementing major initiatives in the most important areas of cooperation.

The Head of State recalled that after the successful holding of the cross-cultural years, the Russian-Chinese years of cooperation in the field of education started in January. He clarified that this is the 10th such interstate project in the humanitarian space.
