Military exercises on the use of nuclear weapons have started in Belarus

The training of military units for the combat use of nuclear weapons and nuclear support has begun in Belarus. This was reported on May 18 in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.

"Today, in the interests of increasing the readiness of the Armed Forces to use modern means of destruction, including special ammunition <...>, training of military units for the combat use of nuclear weapons and nuclear support has begun," the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the purpose of the event is to increase the level of training of personnel, check the readiness of weapons and military equipment to perform tasks, as well as the organization of combat use from unplanned areas.

In cooperation with the Russian side, it is also planned to work out the delivery of nuclear weapons and their preparation for use. The main feature of the exercises will be the verification of readiness to perform tasks from unprepared areas throughout the territory of Belarus.

To mark the 30th anniversary of integration, Russia and Belarus are launching new trains between the regions and introducing a single quality mark.

On May 7, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarusians glorify their country with labor victories and are ready to defend it with weapons in their hands. He stressed that Belarus lost every third person in the Great Patriotic War.
