The Ministry of Education and Science has listed the possibilities to get additional points for the Unified State Exam

Russian universities have the right to award applicants up to 15 points for individual achievements, increasing their chances of enrollment. This was reported on May 17 in the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

"The university independently establishes a list of common individual achievements, which are taken into account by the university admissions committee. The number of points awarded for overall individual achievements is set by the university independently, but may not exceed 10 points," the message says, quoted by RIA Novosti.

The ministry clarified that all achievements are divided into general and targeted. For the badge "Ready for Labor and Defense" (TRP), a certificate or diploma with honors, participation in Olympiads and volunteer actions, as well as military service under conscription or contract, you can get up to 10 points. Additional points are earned by the availability of creative or sports additional education, as well as the status of a winner or prize-winner of the national or international Abilimpix championship.

"It is important to support not only the Olympic athletes and laureates of various industry competitions, but also generally caring people involved in humanitarian and volunteer projects, people with disabilities seeking active socialization and collective participation, patriots, and military personnel," said Andrey Loginov, Rector of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RGGU)..

Targeted individual achievements include participation in career guidance events from the customer of targeted training — they are taken into account when applying to target places in addition to total points. For such achievements, five points are awarded for bachelor's, specialist's, master's and residency programs, and from one to five for postgraduate studies. The Ministry also reminded: documents confirming individual achievements must be submitted no later than the day of completion of the documents.
