FC Spartak did not renew the contract with the footballer Bongonda

Spartak Moscow Football Club announced on May 16 that it would not renew the contract with midfielder Theo Bongonda. The player's contract expires at the end of June.

"Theo Bongonda's contract will not be renewed. The 30-year-old midfielder will leave Spartak at the end of the season. We thank Theo for his time at the club and wish him success in his future career," the Red and White press service said in a Telegram channel.

The midfielder has been part of the Moscow team since July 2023. Bongonda has played six matches for Spartak this season. In total, the player has 75 matches and 16 goals scored with the Moscow club.

In addition, the player has seven goals in 37 matches for the national team of DR Congo. Bongonda joined Spartak in 2023 from the Spanish club Cadiz.

The Colombian striker of Zenit St. Petersburg, John Duran, temporarily left the team on May 14. It was noted that the timing of the athlete's return would be announced additionally.
