On May 16, Vladimir Vladimirov, Governor of the Stavropol Territory, showed footage taken shortly after the incident at a gas station in Pyatigorsk.

A video posted by the governor shows powerful flames and thick clouds of black smoke rising into the sky above the city.

"There is no threat to residential buildings," Vladimirov wrote on his Telegram channel.
