HC Colorado knocked Minnesota out of the NHL playoffs

The Colorado Avalanche hockey Club defeated the Minnesota Wild in overtime in the fifth match of the second round of the National Hockey League (NHL) playoffs and advanced to the Western Conference finals. The meeting in Denver on May 14 ended with a score of 4:3.

Parker Kelly (31st minute), Jack Drury (57th minute), Nathan MacKinnon (59th minute) and Brett Kulak (64th minute) scored for the winners. Markus Johansson scored for Minnesota (first minute), as well as Nick Foligno, who scored doubles in the 12th and 16th minutes.

Minnesota forward Kirill Kaprizov scored an assist in the episode with Foligno's first goal. The Russian finished the playoffs with 15 points (4 goals and 11 assists) in 11 games. Forwards Vladimir Tarasenko, Danila Yurov and Yakov Trenin also played for the Wild. Valery Nichushkin spent 15 minutes on the ice with Colorado.

The final score of the series is 4-1 in favor of Colorado. In the Western Conference finals, the Denver club will face the winner of the Vegas Golden Knights–Anaheim Ducks pair.
