A woman found a three-carat diamond while walking in a park in the USA

A resident of the United States, Keshia Smith, discovered a diamond in the Diamond Crater State Park in Arkansas and named it after her grandchildren. This was reported on May 12 by the KAIT 8 TV channel.

The woman said that she had been planning a trip to the park with her brother and partner for more than a year. According to Smith, the last six months have been a difficult ordeal for her due to the death of her son in October and her father in April. She hoped that the search for precious stones would help her take her mind off her grief.

While working in the southern part of the search area, an American woman noticed a shiny object in her shovel. She found a small heart-shaped stone and put it in her bag. Later, other visitors to the park suggested that the find was genuine. The staff of the identification center confirmed that Smith found a diamond weighing 3.09 carats.

Smith called the stone "For'Novia Liberty". The first part of the name is a combination of the names of her grandchildren, and the second — meaning "freedom" in English — refers to the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.

The American admitted that she had been experiencing serious psychological pressure lately. She noted that this discovery was necessary for her and she prayed for such an event, the reality of which is still difficult for her to believe.
