Rusprodsoyuz named the cheapest product in a month

Cucumbers became the leader in reducing consumer prices among food products in Russia by the end of April. By April 30, their average cost had decreased by 15% compared to a month ago. This was reported on May 8 in the press service of Rusprodsoyuz.

The ministry noted that cucumbers also fell in price by 4.5% compared to the same period last year. In addition, the list of products that have noticeably dropped in price over the past four weeks includes tomatoes and bananas. The decrease was 3.2% and 2.4%, respectively.

According to Rusprodsoyuz, quoted by RIA Novosti, at the end of April, the average price of a kg of cucumbers in Russia was 193.7 rubles, tomatoes — 303.7 rubles, bananas — 161 rubles.

Yuri Brabechan, a nutritionist coach at Lapino Fitness Country Club, said on April 12 that you don't need to buy expensive fitness food for a healthy diet, since a competent and balanced diet can be made up of the most common foods. Brabechan attributed eggs, chicken, buckwheat, cabbage, carrots and apples to the first selection of basic products.
