The UMO 5 electric car, which is produced at the Moskvich automobile plant, appeared in carsharing. The Izvestia correspondent drew attention to the model in a special coloring on the streets of the capital. Previously, such electric vehicles began to appear more and more often in taxis.

The beginning of the assembly of electric cars under the UMO brand at the Moskvich plant became known in February. Yandex became the technological partner of the project. The UMO 5 model is a "clone" of the Chinese GAC Aion Y Plus. It is equipped with a 204 hp engine, which allows you to accelerate from zero to "hundreds" in 8.5 seconds.

A lithium-iron-phosphate traction battery with a capacity of 63.2 kWh allows you to travel from 220 to 420 km on a single charge, depending on the operating temperature conditions. The length of the electric car is 4535 mm with a wheelbase of 2750 mm. The model will go on free sale, previously, the price starts from 2.5 million rubles.

As Ilya Rashkin, founder and CEO of EM Rus, previously said, it is planned to switch to small-scale assembly of UMO electric vehicles with welding and painting at the Moskvich plant in 2027.

On March 24, it was reported that the UMO 5 electric car was included in the list of domestically produced cars that fall under the parameters of the taxi localization law.
