Journalist and TV presenter Alexei Pimanov will be buried at the Troekurovsky Cemetery in Moscow. This was announced on April 24 by State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov to TASS.

According to the parliamentarian, the exact date and time of the funeral ceremony have not yet been determined.

Pimanov died on April 23 at the age of 65. Pimanov's wife, actress Olga Pogodina, said that the cause of death of the TV presenter was a heart attack.

In 1996, the journalist became one of the founders of the Ostankino TV channel, as well as the main presenter of the Man and the Law program. Later, he became president of the Krasnaya Zvezda media holding, where he also wrote scripts for films.

Earlier that day, Pimanov's colleague, cinematographer Sergei Komarov, said that the journalist had never complained about his health and was actively involved in sports. Russian President Vladimir Putin also called Pimanov's departure a loss for Russian journalism.

A memorial in memory of the journalist appeared at the editorial office of the Zvezda TV channel. Pimanov himself also worked closely with Izvestia and was the closest partner with whom the series "SMERSH", "Rooks", "Operation Neman", "Evil" were created.
