London Chelsea Football Club (FC) has fired Liam Rosenior as head coach after his fifth consecutive defeat in the English Premier League (Premier League). This was announced on the club's official website on April 22.

"Today, Chelsea Football Club has parted ways with head coach Liam Rosenior," the publication says.

The club representatives thanked the specialist and his staff for the work done. Chelsea noted that Rosenior has shown high professionalism since his appointment in the middle of the season, but the team's recent results do not meet the club's standards. It is noted that the decision to "break up" was difficult, but necessary to complete the tasks for the rest of the season.

Calum MacFarlane will serve as the head coach until the end of the playing year. The interim manager and the current coaching staff are tasked with ensuring the club qualifies for European competitions and successfully competes in the FA Cup.

Chelsea management is currently planning to conduct an internal review to select a new coach for the long term.

RMC Sport TV channel reported on April 17 that Herve Renard was dismissed from the post of head coach of the Saudi national team two months before the FIFA World Cup. It was noted that the reason for this decision was the poor results in the March friendly matches. Saudi Arabia lost to Serbia (1:2) and Egypt (0:4).
