More than 10 countries have asked the United States to extend the validity of the temporary license for the purchase of Russian oil. This was announced on April 22 by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at a hearing before the Senate Appropriations Committee.
"Representatives of more than 10 countries in the most vulnerable situation and experiencing the greatest shortage of energy resources approached me, and they asked us to extend this permit. And it's only for 30 days," he said.
