Famous producer and musician Gorenburg died in Yekaterinburg.

Evgeny Gorenburg, a famous musician, producer and one of the founders of the Sverdlovsk rock club, has died in Yekaterinburg. Denis Pasler, Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, announced his death on April 22.

"A man whose projects and initiatives resonated in the hearts of hundreds of thousands of people and are known far beyond the region has passed away," the governor wrote on the Telegram channel.

Pasler noted that Gorenburg had made an invaluable contribution to the development of Ural rock. The musician was the mastermind of the major festivals "Old New Rock" and "Ural Music Night", and also became the author of the idea of a large-scale book festival "Red Line".

The governor also pointed out that Gorenburg was able to see the future and supported talented young people, discovered new names and helped musicians realize their dreams. According to Pasler, Gorenburg's death was an irreparable loss for colleagues, friends and the entire professional community.

Evgeny Gorenburg was born on January 13, 1960 in Yekaterinburg. In the 1980s and 1990s, he actively participated in the activities of the Sverdlovsk rock Club, and in 1987 he created the rock band Top, where he performed as an author of lyrics and music.

This year, together with the leader of the Chaif group, Vladimir Shakhrin, he launched a fundraiser for the filming of The Exit film about the history of the Sverdlovsk rock club through the life of the Catalog group. In addition, Gorenburg was the president of the Dynamo-Stroitel sports hockey club.
