The head of RUSADA responded to the WADA investigation

The head of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA), Veronika Loginova, said on April 21 that she was calm about the investigation of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

According to her, she had nothing to do with the Olympic trials in Sochi and she has nothing to hide. In addition, there have been no official charges against her. Loginova explained that the reason for WADA's actions was a denunciation received by the organization at the end of last year, to which the international agency was obliged to respond. She also noted that she immediately expressed her willingness to cooperate.

"I had nothing to do with the samples and data related to the Olympic Games, so I am absolutely calm," she told TASS.

Loginova pointed out the unreliability of the facts disseminated in a number of publications. In particular, she mentioned reports about her participation in the WADA International conference in Busan, South Korea, in 2025. According to the head of RUSADA, she was not present at this event, which is a well-known fact. She added that she intends to help with the investigation to find out the origin of such information.

The fourth case of a positive sample from a KHL team player in a year has been recorded.

On April 20, the WADA press service announced the start of an investigation into Loginova. In addition, the RRR is currently investigating another accusation against RUSADA.
