Law enforcement officers seized dozens of boxes of books from the Eksmo-Ast publishing group during searches in the case of LGBT propaganda (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). The relevant footage is available to Izvestia on April 21.

The video shows a lot of boxes with LGBT works, which the security forces seized during the investigation from the management of the publishing house. According to the Izvestia source, the books were printed in thousands of copies.

The boxes with the works were found in various bookselling outlets and basements. They were unloaded there for subsequent sale according to "gray" schemes. On the frames, you can see, for example, copies of the novel "The King's Retinue", which belongs to a series of books by the American writer Nora Sakavich.

Earlier in the day, the general director of the Eksmo publishing house, Evgeny Kapyev, was detained in the case of LGBT propaganda. The security forces also detained the editor-in-chief of Eksmo, Alexandra Shipetina, and she was immediately taken away for questioning. In Moscow, law enforcement officers searched the management of the Eksmo-Ast publishing group. A criminal case has been opened under Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of the activities of an extremist organization").

According to Izvestia, the investigation is related to the distribution of LGBT novels "Summer in a Pioneer Tie" and "What the Swallow is silent about" by Elena Prokasheva (pseudonym - Elena Malisova, recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) and Ekaterina Dudko (pseudonym — Katerina Silvanova, recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent). Other LGBT works are also involved in the case.
