Train traffic on the Sokolnicheskaya line of the Moscow metro has been fully restored. This was announced on April 21 by the metropolitan Department of Transport.

"Traffic on the entire Sokolnicheskaya line (1) has been restored. Trains are running along all sections of the line, the timetable is gradually normalizing, and the intervals are shortening," said a message posted on the Telegram channel of Deptrans.

The ministry added that all restoration work has been completed: specialists have checked the equipment and infrastructure, and a test train without passengers passed along the tracks. The reason for the traffic stop was a malfunction of one of the trains on the section of the line — now the work of the subway has been fully restored.

On the same day, it was reported that on the central section of the Sokolnicheskaya line of the Moscow Metro, traffic intervals were temporarily increased to check the composition. Passengers were encouraged to choose alternative routes.

The reason for the suspension of traffic on the red line of the Moscow metro was a technical malfunction of one of the trains. The Main Directorate of the Moscow Interior Ministry added that no one was injured as a result of the train stop.
