Kalashnikov announced the delivery of the first serial batch of RDG-U grenades

The Kalashnikov Concern began mass production of the RDG-U unified smoke grenade and shipped the first batch of products to the state customer. This was announced on April 21 by the company's press service.

"The RDG–U grenade is an operational camouflage device that allows you to protect individual fighters, small units and equipment from enemy targeted fire," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the design feature of the product is the simultaneous implementation of explosive and smoking principles of action. When the grenade is activated, the explosive section instantly creates a dense smoke cloud.

Next, the smoking compound comes into effect, which supports the curtain with a constant stream of aerosol. This solution significantly increases the masking area and the duration of its operation.

The body of the grenade is made of high-strength composite material with physico-chemical resistance, which ensures safety during operation. The weight of the product does not exceed 700 g.

On April 13, the Kalashnikov Concern began preliminary tests of the Krona highly automated anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) for territorial air defense. The system is designed to protect important government facilities, urban infrastructure, and special cargo in their storage areas from air strikes.
