The Rosselkhoznadzor has introduced a regime of enhanced laboratory control over cottage cheese produced by Smolevichi Moloko CJSC and Savushkin Produkt OJSC. This was reported on the agency's website.

"The Rosselkhoznadzor has introduced a regime of enhanced laboratory control over the products of Smolevichi Moloko CJSC and Savushkin Product OJSC, members of the Servolux and Santa groups of companies in Belarus, in connection with the detection of residual albendazole sulfone in cottage cheese," the publication says.

It is specified that the specified substance is a decay product of an anthelmintic drug used in veterinary medicine. However, its presence in milk may pose a risk of toxic effects to humans.

It is noted that the data were obtained during the monitoring of Belarusian dairy products entering the Russian market.

The Rosselkhoznadzor reported that notifications were sent to the veterinary service of Belarus for all identified cases, demanding that measures be taken to prevent such violations in the future.
