The Real Madrid football club's entourage believes that the referees' decisions in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich could be related to the club's strained relations with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). This was reported on April 18 by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

According to the publication, the team also admits that the possible bias of the arbitration may be due to conflicts with the European football organization, including those arising from the Super League project.

In addition, the club draws attention to a possible connection between the chief referee of the meeting, Slavko Vincic, and UEFA President Alexander Ceferin, noting that both have Slovenian citizenship.
