Mirra Andreeva reached the semifinals of the WTA tournament in Stuttgart

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva has reached the semi-finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart (Germany), with a prize fund of more than €1 million. In the quarterfinal match on April 17, the ninth racket of the world beat the representative of Poland, Iga Schwentek (the fourth seed).

The meeting ended with a score 3:6, 6:4, 6:3 in favor of the Russian woman. The tennis players spent 2 hours and 36 minutes on the court. Thanks to this result, 18-year-old Andreeva beat Schwentek for the third time in her career, while the Polish athlete has one victory in personal meetings.

In the semifinals of the competition, Andreeva will face the winner of the match between Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina (second seed) and Canadian Leila Fernandez (25th seed).

Andreeva beat American Alicia Parks in the second round of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Stuttgart, Germany, the day before. The meeting ended with a score 7:6 (7:3), 6:3 in favor of the Russian, seeded at the tournament at number six.
