Russians warned about the consequences of a mate at work
The use of obscene language in the workplace can lead to disciplinary action and financial losses for the employee. This was announced on April 16 by Alexander Yuzhalin, head of the SuperJob legal practice.
According to him, the ban on the use of a mat can be formalized in the local regulations of the organization, including the rules of internal labor regulations. In such a situation, an employee who commits misconduct risks losing bonus payments in full or in part.
"Violation of such rules may result in disciplinary action, as well as reduction/withdrawal of the bonus," he told RT.
At the same time, the expert clarified that it is possible to hold a specialist accountable for abusive speech only if the relevant prohibition is fixed in the company's regulatory documents. If there are no such requirements in the acts of the employer, it will be impossible to apply disciplinary measures to the employee.
Ekaterina Dashevskaya, a human rights activist, media technologist, and lawyer, said that slander in messengers can lead to criminal liability even when discussing in closed chats. According to the expert, from the point of view of law, it is enough to communicate information to at least one third party in order for it to be considered information dissemination.
