An employee of the Sulak-Vysokogornaya weather station, who was stuck on a mountain in Dagestan, was evacuated by helicopter and taken to the village. This was announced on April 16 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

On April 15, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic reported that an employee of the Sulak-Vysokogornaya weather station had sent a distress signal due to heavy snowfall. It was not possible to pick up the station employee, but the helicopter pilots delivered food, heating equipment and an electric power generator. It was noted that there was no threat to the safety of the meteorologist.
