Indonesia has reached agreements on the supply of crude oil, fuel and liquefied petroleum gas from Russia following negotiations in Moscow. This was announced on April 14 by the country's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia.

"Once again, I want to say that I am pleased with today's results — on behalf of President Prabowo, we have completed the process," RIA Novosti quoted the minister as saying.

According to him, the agreements will allow Jakarta to increase its crude oil reserves and gain access to liquefied petroleum gas. The talks were a continuation of contacts between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The ministry clarified that the meeting was devoted to discussing long-term energy supplies, the development of storage and processing infrastructure. Cooperation will be built both at the government level and between companies.

Lahadalia emphasized the Russian side's willingness to support Indonesia's energy security. The exact volume of supplies and details of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

On April 13, Putin noted that energy and space are promising areas for cooperation between Russia and Indonesia. According to him, Indonesia's accession to the BRICS opens up new opportunities for cooperation.
