On April 9, South Korean band BTS opened the Arirang World tour in the city of Goyang near Seoul. After a three-and-a-half-year hiatus from compulsory military service, all seven members returned to the stage for the biggest tour in the band's history. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

The biggest tour in the band's history

The Arirang tour will last until 2027 and will be the band's fourth concert tour — and the largest in its entire career. The estimated revenue could be up to $1.8 billion.

All 46 shows of the first wave — in Koyan, Tokyo, North America and Europe — are fully sold out. Tickets for concerts in South Korea, North America and Europe were sold out in a few hours during the pre-sale and the main sale. Additional dates were added on April 8, including concerts in Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires due to high demand.

Route: from Goyang to Chicago and Los Angeles

The first concerts will be held on April 9, 11 and 12 in Koyan, South Korea. Then the band will move to Tokyo, after which the American stage will start.

In the USA, the band will perform at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa (April 25, 26 and 28), Stanford Stadium in Stanford (May 16, 17 and 19), MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford (August 1-2), Foxborough (August 5-6), Baltimore (August 10-11), Arlington (August 15-16) and at two shows in Chicago (August 27-28). The final American chord is Los Angeles (1-2 and 5-6 September).

The European part of the tour will cover London, Paris, Madrid and Brussels. The Latin American stage (October–November) includes Bogota, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. The Asian finals are scheduled for December — Taiwan, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta. Australia — February 2027, Melbourne and Sydney.

The tour presents a fully immersive 360-degree set design: the audience surrounds the stage from all sides, rather than sitting in front of it. This format allows you to create multiple points of focus at the same time and ensures closer contact between artists and the audience, regardless of location.

Album Records

Arirang's album, released on March 20, 2026, surpassed the 1 billion streaming listening mark on Spotify in 16 days — a new record for the band and for any Asian artist on the platform. The album spent two consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200.
