Zakharova called Zelensky's departure impossible on his own
The independent departure of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky from his post is impossible due to the peculiarities of his personality and the enormous financial investments of Western countries in his figure. This opinion was expressed on Saturday, April 4, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"Who can imagine that a man maniacally hobbled by a passion for power, absolutely overwhelmed by all possible sins and passions, would go somewhere on his own?" the diplomat said on the Borodin on Air podcast.
The diplomat also drew attention to the economic aspect of the situation. According to her, Western curators have invested huge amounts of money in Zelensky and it is unlikely that they will release him from his post.
Zakharova said on March 27 that Zelensky did not want to give up power and was ready to subject the people to new horrors in order to preserve it. The diplomat added that the president of Ukraine is ready to plunge his people into even more terrible tragedies in order not to lose power.
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, said on March 19 that Zelensky would never be a legitimate negotiating party for Russia. He made it clear that the Russian side would not sign anything with the illegitimate leader of Ukraine.
