Dmitriev called the NYT's mistake in decoding NATO shameful

On April 4, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, criticized the American newspaper New York Times (NYT) for an error in deciphering the abbreviation of NATO.

"Shameful," Dmitriev wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

He noted that the editorial staff should reconsider the approach to personnel selection and, possibly, use artificial intelligence (AI) for verification.
