WWII veterans will receive 10,000 rubles each by Victory Day

Starting from April 3, the Social Fund of Russia (SFR) will begin transferring 10,000 rubles each to participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War, the payment is timed to coincide with Victory Day celebrations. This was announced on April 3 by Igor Balynin, Associate Professor of Finance at the Government University, Candidate of Economic Sciences.

"Citizens permanently residing in Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, who are invalids of the Great Patriotic War and participants in the Great Patriotic War, receive an annual monetary payment in the amount of 10 thousand rubles," Balynin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
