Russians were warned about the threat to life in a container house
Sea cargo containers, which residents of Russia have begun to purchase as an alternative to private homes, are unsuitable for permanent residence. This was announced on April 2 by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and former head of Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishchenko.
According to him, the use of such structures is dangerous to health due to the characteristics of the metal and the lack of natural air exchange. The expert noted that the iron walls have high thermal conductivity, as a result of which the room heats up and cools down extremely quickly.
"No municipality, no regional authority will allow a person to register there if he has no other housing other than this container," he said in an interview with RTVI.
