The United States is considering the possibility of holding talks with Russia and Ukraine, despite Washington's shift of attention to events in the Middle East. This was reported by Bloomberg on April 1, citing sources.

"The United States told its allies last week that it still believes it can bring Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table, although there is no movement yet," the article says.

It is emphasized that the American authorities also recognize the difference in the positions of the parties to the Ukrainian conflict, calling them "far from each other."

At the same time, Kiev faces the risk of slowing down the supply of American weapons amid the escalation in the Middle East. In particular, we are talking about the supply of anti-aircraft missiles (air defense), which are purchased for Kiev by European allies.

On that day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the pause in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine was due to the US involvement in the conflict in the Middle East. He added that now American representatives cannot be actively involved in the process of trilateral negotiations on Ukrainian affairs.

At the same time, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin noted that the United States was working to get Ukraine to agree to compromises with Russia. According to him, Washington proposed certain compromise ideas, while the Russian side accepted and agreed with these ideas.
