Putin congratulates Russian Jews on the Passover holiday

On March 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Jews on the Passover holiday.

"I congratulate you on the occasion of Passover <...> It is gratifying that the Jewish communities of Russia are doing a lot to preserve ancient religious and national customs and traditions, and are educating young people to respect the priceless cultural and spiritual heritage of their ancestors," reads the telegram from the head of state posted on the Kremlin's website.

The Russian leader stressed that Passover recalls the most important events in the ancient history of the Jewish people, their desire for freedom, and symbolizes the triumph of love, kindness, and justice.
