The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has decided to recognize the activities of the American organizations Tufts University and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy as undesirable in the country. The relevant information was published on the official website of the supervisory authority on March 31.
"Since the beginning of the special military operation, the university and the school have transformed from scientific centers into an instrument of anti-Russian propaganda. Openly expressing solidarity with the Kiev regime, the institutions purposefully hold various events where they broadcast distorted and unreliable information about Russia," the statement said.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the information policy of the university and the school is aimed at undermining citizens' trust in the country's leadership, law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The activities of these structures are designed to create conditions for the radicalization of society and the development of protest sentiments.
In addition, the ministry stressed that the institutions are engaged in the destruction of traditional moral values of Russians. In particular, organizations provide support to the LGBT community (the movement is recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).
On February 4, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office declared undesirable the activities of a foreign organization Bundesverband Russischsprachiger Eltern e.V. from Germany on the territory of the Russian Federation. The ministry noted that the organization is funded by the German government and opposes the special military operation in Ukraine.
