An emergency mode has been introduced in Makhachkala due to the effects of heavy rains. This was announced on March 28 by the press service of the city administration.

"The services have been switched to an enhanced mode of operation, the consequences are being eliminated, assistance will be provided to the affected residents," the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that as a result of heavy rainfall, cars were stuck, and work is underway to evacuate them. Specialists are visiting flooded sections of the road network, monitoring and processing citizens' appeals. In addition, private households were affected in some streets.

On March 28, the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, said that heavy rain and wind had created a critical situation in many districts and cities of the republic. Operational services are working in an enhanced mode.
