Moscow residents have simplified the procedure for affixing an apostille on documents

Since March 2026, residents of the capital have been able to submit applications for apostille affixing on duplicate certificates or registry office certificates in electronic form. This was reported on the portal on March 27. mos.ru .

The new digital service allows you to reduce the number of personal visits to the offices of "My Documents" to one — just to get the finished result. To do this on mos.ru You must select the option "Obtaining a second certificate with an apostille".

"Our main area of work is the digitalization of existing services. This service is aimed at reducing visits to the offices of My Documents and other city structures, as well as saving time spent traveling and waiting in line," said Elena Shinkaruk, Chairman of the Moscow City Public Services Committee.

Previously, the procedure was more complicated: if the original was dilapidated or laminated, it was necessary to first obtain a second document and only then apply for an apostille separately. In the current regulations, a duplicate for a stamp is made automatically.

Svetlana Ukhaneva, head of the Moscow Registry Office, noted that the new service combined two services, which eliminates the need to contact the department again. This option is available to authorized users for themselves and their minor children.

The Moscow Department of Information Technology added that through the portal mos.ru More than 460 digital services are available to residents to solve everyday tasks. The development of this infrastructure is consistent with the goals of the national project "Data Economics and Digital Transformation of the State" and the regional program for the digitalization of public administration.
