The US Department of War is considering the possibility of redirecting arms supplies destined for Ukraine to the Middle East. This was reported on March 26 by The Washington Post (WP).

The publication notes that the Pentagon is considering this issue, since the fighting in the Middle East "depletes the reserves of the most important ammunition of the American army." It is indicated that the redirection of military supplies may hit hardest on air defense ammunition that entered Ukraine through the PURL program (English: Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List, a list of priority requirements of Ukraine). So, since the summer of 2025, Kiev has received 75% of Patriot air defense missiles using this mechanism.

The publication emphasizes that it is still unclear whether American supplies will be temporarily suspended or whether we are talking about a complete cessation of aid. However, at the moment, the discussion has come down to the question of how much the United States is ready to supply military supplies to the Kiev regime.
