The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation reported a low chance of having children in men over 35 years old

The methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on conducting reproductive medical examinations note that the chance of having a live child at the age of the future father over 35 is two times lower than in younger men, even when using in vitro fertilization (IVF). This became known from a document approved by the department.

"The chance of giving birth to a live child at the age of the future father over 35 years is two times lower compared to younger fathers, even with the use of in vitro fertilization," the document says.

It is noted that a key aspect of maintaining a man's reproductive health is the timely detection of diseases and a comprehensive assessment of the condition. Male infertility is often diagnosed in patients who do not complain about the reproductive system.
