The body of a girl who disappeared in Zvenigorod was found in the Moskva River.
Rescuers found the body of a girl, Alina, in the Moskva River, who, along with two other children, had disappeared earlier in Zvenigorod. This was announced on March 17 by the head of Odintsovo city district of Moscow region Andrey Ivanov.
"The search operation in Zvenigorod has been completed. A girl's body has been found in the Moskva River," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Ivanov called the girl's death an irreparable loss and expressed his condolences to the child's family. He also thanked rescuers and volunteers for participating in the search and promised to provide support to the families of the dead children.
Three children, a 13-year-old girl, Alina, and two 12—year-old boys, Ivan and Bogdan, disappeared in the Zvenigorod area on March 7. One of the fishermen said that he saw children drowning in the river, but did not inform the emergency services because they received a call from another witness of the incident.
Later, on March 11, rescuers found the body of 12-year-old Ivan. He was found about 2 km from the place of disappearance. Two days later, on March 13, Bogdan's body was recovered from the water. He was swept away by the current 7 km from the scene of the tragedy.
