Izvestia tells us how the lesson will go in different classes.

"Talking about important things" on March 16 — the topic of the lesson

Modern industry is one of the foundations of the economic sustainability of the state. Russian factories produce a wide range of products, from automobiles and machine tools to sophisticated electronic equipment, medical equipment and spacecraft. Many enterprises have a long history and are associated with major scientific and technological achievements.

During the new lesson "Factories of Russia", students will learn about the development of the domestic industry, how modern production facilities are created and which specialists work at the enterprises. Special attention will be paid to people of work — engineers, technologists and designers, thanks to whom the country's industrial potential is developing.

Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, will join the lesson in a video interview format. He will talk about the development of industry at the present stage, the role of high technologies and the prospects for young professionals.

Practical and interactive tasks will help you master the topic. For clarity, the lesson will use thematic posters, flashcards with types of industry and professions, brief facts about modern industries, as well as illustrations of factories and technological processes.

The lesson content is adapted for different age groups so that students can better understand the importance of industry and labor in the modern economy. The recommended conversation duration is 30 minutes. Methodological materials and recommendations are published on the project's website.

"Conversations about important things" March 16 — lesson program

For the youngest students, students in grades 1-4, the lesson will begin with an introduction to the basic concepts of what a factory is and what products it produces. Teachers will offer children to watch a short thematic video about the work of modern enterprises. After watching, students will discuss which objects around them were manufactured in factories and which professions are involved in their creation.

The lesson will become more meaningful for students in grades 5-7. Students will get acquainted with a variety of industries: from heavy machinery and metallurgy to the food and chemical industries. The basis for the discussion will be a video about modern automated enterprises, where the role of humans remains key, but many operations are performed by robots. During the lesson, it will also be suggested to correlate industries with manufactured products and professions of specialists.

In grades 8-9, the conversation will focus on the role of industry in the development of the country's economy and technological progress. The teenagers will discuss which enterprises operate in different regions of Russia and which industries are considered strategically important. In addition, they will analyze the concept of a "professional dynasty", see interviews with young specialists and veterans of production.

The task proposed by the teacher will help to better understand how the different stages of creating complex products are interconnected — from the extraction of raw materials to the production of the finished product. Eighth and ninth graders will also reflect on what qualities a person needs for a successful career in industry.

For high school students in grades 10-11 and college students, the lesson will be related to issues of professional self-determination. Students will be introduced not only to promising areas of industry, modern technologies, but also to sought-after professions.

At the end of the lesson, the teachers will summarize the lesson and invite students to discuss why the development of industry is important for the country and society. Students will be able to draw conclusions about how the work of engineers and workers affects the quality of people's lives, the development of technology and the future of the country.
