Azerbaijan has sent about 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Iran
Azerbaijan has sent humanitarian aid to Iran, consisting of food and medical supplies. This was reported on March 10 by the Azertac News Agency with reference to the Director of the Reserves Control Department of the State Reserves Agency, Emil Hasanzade.
"In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan [Ilham Aliyev], humanitarian aid is being sent to the Islamic Republic of Iran. The aid is being sent by vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and includes about 30 tons of food products," the report says.
It is specified that the humanitarian aid was organized after a telephone conversation between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian, which took place on March 8.
