Assets worth about 5 billion rubles were seized from Alexander Kibovsky.

Former Moscow government minister, ex-head of the Department of Culture Alexander Kibovsky and ex-chairman of the State Customs Committee of Russia Anatoly Kruglov lost property totaling about 5 billion rubles. This was reported by Kommersant on March 4, citing sources.

In accordance with the court's decision, which came into force, the property of Kibovsky, Kruglov and their related persons was turned into state revenue. The Prosecutor General's Office reported that, having no legitimate sources of income, Kibovsky and businessman Andrei Nerodenkov purchased real estate, cars, motorcycles and securities.

The value of the property registered to the trustees and family members of the ex-officials amounted to almost 1.5 billion rubles. It was also found that, with the assistance of Kibovsky, the value of the assets of the company that owns the cultural heritage site in the center of Moscow was artificially inflated by 1.2 billion rubles in order to extract property benefits from its sale.
